Founded in Sofia in October 1991, the Bulgarian Comparative Education Society (BCES) is a registered non-profit, non-governmental organization. Though small in size, we are highly active and flexible, upholding the highest standards of cooperation and scholarly excellence.

We aim to be a leading forum for prominent scholars, researchers, educators, and analysts in the field of education. At this conference, we provoke and lead discussions on the most pressing challenges facing education at the national, regional, and global levels. The BCES conference is more than an event—it is a dynamic hub of knowledge where connections are made and ideas are born. We have long cultivated a culture of open dialogue, collegiality, and collaboration.
